What an incredible week in Avenches for my first Nations Cup representing Poland!
The FEI Eventing Nations Cup took place from 16–19 July at the Institut Équestre National Avenches in Switzerland. It was the fourth Nations Cup leg of the 2026 season and also an official test event ahead of the European Championships, which will return to Avenches in 2027.
Avenches has become a really important venue on the international eventing calendar, with a technical, fairly twisty cross-country track that certainly gave us plenty to think about!
I headed out with Cyber Shot (Cyd) for the CCIO4*-S Nations Cup and he was a star from start to finish.
We started the week with a 37.6 in the dressage before heading out onto the cross-country.
Cyd jumped brilliantly around the course, coming home clear and adding just 17.6 time faults. At this level the cross-country is always a big test, so I was really pleased with how confidently he tackled everything asked of him.
We then finished the week in the best possible way with a completely clear show jumping round on the final day, leaving every fence up and finishing inside the time.
That left us on a final score of 55.2 and 37th individually.
Cyd really is a horse of a lifetime and to now have eight 4*S under our belt together is so exciting. We’ve built up so much experience as a partnership over the last few seasons, and every event at this level feels like another step forward.
My first Nations Cup
Being part of the Polish team for the first time made the week even more special.
It was great to properly meet and spend time with my teammates and experience everything that comes with competing as part of a team rather than just as an individual.
Poland finished seventh overall, with all three of us completing with our horses.
For my first Nations Cup, I couldn’t have asked for much more from Cyd. To come away with two clear jumping rounds at 4* level and another really valuable international run behind us gives us plenty to build on.
There’s still lots to work on, but experiences like this are exactly why I’m so excited about what lies ahead.
A huge thank you as always to everyone who supports us, both at home and behind the scenes. 🇵🇱
